The European Center for Studies in Ethnic Issues, through the European Center for Covasna-Harghita Studies, together with the “Andrei Șaguna” Cultural-Christian League and the “Metropolitan Nicolae Colan” Ecclesiastical Documentation Center, organized, during March 15 – April 23, 2025, the event “Cultural Spring in Sfântu Gheorghe.” The program of this edition included debates, conferences, symposia, spiritual meetings, participation in civic and cultural events, book launches, activities dedicated to Bessarabia, presentations on the continuation of the scanning project of the archive of the “Metropolitan Nicolae Colan” Ecclesiastical Documentation Center, as well as the awarding of the title of “Honorary Citizen of the Romanian Community of Sfântu Gheorghe.” Among the activities carried out were participation in Romanian Police Day, attendance at the unveiling of the statue of Queen Marie in Chișinău, the symposium “Queen Marie – Queen of the Great Union,” conferences delivered by doctoral candidate Dragoș Burghelea on the ethnic structure of education and demographic aspects of the Romanian community in the counties of Covasna, Harghita, and Mureș, the conference “The Christian Today at 100 Years of the Romanian Patriarchate,” book launches coordinated by Dr. Mihai Nicolae, Dr. Magdalena Albu, and Dr. Ioan Lăcătușu, as well as participation in the General Assembly of the ASTRA Covasna-Harghita Branch and in the event dedicated to the 90th birthday of Professor Ilie Șandru.
